This week as the traditional February signing period began, FIU football inked four more players for their 2024 signing class.

Clinton Mahoni - DL

Mahoni, a New Zealand native and transfer from New Mexico Military Institute, stands at 6'3", 285 pounds. The defensive lineman in 2022 saw action in 11 games where he recorded 36 tackles. In 2021, Mahoni saw action in nine games and recorded 21 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

With the loss of Jordan Guerad, someone like Mahoni will provide depth to a defensive line that certainly needs it.

Daniel Ogundipe - OL

Coming from UTSA, offensive lineman Daniel Ogundipe stands at 6'5", 285 pounds. Before not seeing any action at UTSA, Ogundipe was at Iowa Central, where both CJ Chrisitan and Desna Washington played.

Juju Lewis- WR

Likely the biggest signing for this FIU team was bringing in Georgia Tech wide receiver Juju Lewis. Although he didn't see any action at Georgia Tech during his time there, Lewis still ranked as a three-star prospect in the portal.

Lewis, who is a Florida product was named to the first-team All-Broward County by the South Florida Sun Sentinel and Miami Herald as a senior in 2021, caught 77 passes for 1,260 yards and 14 touchdowns in his senior season of high school. He hauled in 148 receptions, 2,378 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns during his high school career.

Lewis will quickly have a chance to get to the top of the depth chart in 2024 as he would either project as the WR1 or WR2.

Giovanni Davis - DL

The final player who signed on Wednesday was defensive lineman Giovanni Davis Sr. Davis stands at an intimidating 6'3" and 250 pounds. Davis Sr. joins FIU after three and a half years at UT-Martin where he had 88 total tackles, 39.5 sacks. The addition gives FIU a big defensive lineman who can move quickly and get to the quarterback.
