One of the best recruits in the 2025 signing class was George MacIntyre. For FIU fans, the last name rings a bell, as Mike MacItyre is the head coach for Florida International. Mike MacIntyre is actually George's uncle.

FIU did make an offer to bring in the five-star recruit to play both football and basketball, but he'll end up staying in his home state of Tennessee and heads over to the SEC with the Tennessee Vols.

In total, the newest Tennessee Vol had 36 offers, with FIU being the only group of five team to offer.

MacIntyre stands at 6'5", 182 pounds. Although he isn't the fastest player, he is someone who fits well into pass heavy offenses, but his pocket presence is one of the best.

In two seasons thus far at Brentwood, where Mike MacIntyre also went, his nephew threw for 5,570 yards, 44 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.

In 2023, Tennessee was the fourth best offense in the SEC and the seventh best passing offense. QB Nico Iamaleava is entering his sophomore year with Tennessee, but only saw action in five games, throwing for 314 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. He is lined up to be the starting quarterback, so when MacIntyre makes his way onto campus, Iamaleava will be a junior.
