For Kansas City Chiefs captain and Lousiana Tech alum L'Jarius Sneed, the trophy case just got a little bigger. Sneed's Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII 25-22 on Sunday.

The victory for Kansas City brings the amount of Super Bowl rings won by Louisiana Tech draft picks to 14. This is Sneed's second after winning Super Bowl LVII, also with Kansas City.

Longtime Steelers' quarterback Terry Bradshaw won four. Fred Dean and Larry Anderson won two each. Johnny Robinson, Matt Stover, Doug Evans, and D'Anthony Smith all won one each.

In total, former Louisiana Tech players have now won 23 Super Bowl rings.

The former Bulldog safety finished the game with three total tackles and a pass deflection. The Chiefs forced a turnover on the opening possession and blocked an extra point at the start of the fourth quarter.

Sneed did have an early penalty for slapping a member of the 49ers, but he and his team made up for it as they secured the overtime win.

Sneed played at Louisiana Tech from 2016 to 2019. He totaled 177 tackles and eight interceptions as a Bulldog under Skip Holtz. Sneed was drafted by Kansas City in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the 138th overall pick.
