After a strong week of practice at the Senior Bowl and a stellar college career for the Toledo Rockets, cornerback Quinyon Mitchell continues to have high expectations thrust upon him. Many analysts are even labeling Mitchell as the top overall prospect from the G5 in this year's class.

Pro Football Focus' Trevor Sikkema released a Mock Draft for the first two rounds on Monday. Sikkema's predictions list Mitchell as the only G5 player selected in the first round and a viable choice for the Pittsburgh Steelers with the #20 overall pick.

In terms of passing defense, Pittsburgh was in the dead center of the NFLAfter in 2023, allowing 224.9 passing yards per game. That number was smaller than the average of 16 other teams.

"He is scheme-versatile in both skill and athleticism," Sikkema noted about Mitchell.  "He could easily be picked higher than this, but he will be high on Pittsburgh’s board if he makes it this far."

Mitchell forced 17 incompletions last season. He had six interceptions over the last two seasons for a fearsome Toledo secondary.

The 2024 NFL Draft is set for April 25-27 in Detroit, Michigan.
