There's always next year. Really, what else can you say? Nebraska finishes the regular season 3-9, its worst since the 1961 season. The only wins the Huskers were able to muster up in 2021:

  • Fordham
  • Buffalo
  • Northwestern

Eight of Nebraska's nine losses were by 8 points or less. This has led many people to say Nebraska is the best 3-9 team in the country. Let's be honest, there is no such thing, as 3-9 is just that, 3-9.
