Cincinnati Reds Call Up Nick Martini Ahead of NL Central Showdown With Brewers

This will be Martini's third stint with the Reds this season.

CINCINNATI — The Reds recalled Nick Martini from Triple-A Louisville on Friday afternoon.

The 33-year-old has a .200 batting average in 110 big league at bats this season. Martini posted a .200/.242/.355 slash line over that span. He joins a Reds team that has won 8 of their last 10 games.

The Reds travel to Milwaukee to face the Brewers in a three-game series starting Friday night.

The Reds optioned outfielder Blake Dunn to Triple-A Louisville to make room for Martini on the roster.
