The Cincinnati Reds (68-73) beat the Houston Astros (75-65) 1-0 on Thursday.

In the eighth inning, with Spencer Steer up, the umpire called four balls, but Steer did not walk. Everybody seemed to forget the count. He struck out one pitch later.
