CINCINNATI — Reds star shortstop Elly De La Cruz met his favorite player on Monday as part of MLB's All-Star festivities.

The 22-year-old looked up to New York Yankees legendary shortstop Derek Jeter. De La Cruz talked with Jeter and then was interviewed by him on the FOX broadcast. Check out photos and video of their interaction below:

"I grew up as a Jeter fan. He was my favorite player growing up."
