Report: Ravens Claim WR Sammy Watkins Off Waivers

CINCINNATI — The Baltimore Ravens moved quickly and added some help to their receiving room. According to Tom Pelissero, the Ravens claimed receiver Sammy Watkins off of waivers.

The Packers released Watkins, 29, on Monday after he totaled just 13 catches for 206 yards and no touchdowns this season.

The 2014 first-round draft pick sustained a hamstring injury after two games this year and went on injured reserve for a month. He has not appeared in a contest since the Packers' 27-17 loss to the Titans on Nov. 17.

The move comes after now top Ravens wide receiver Devin Duvernay went down with a foot injury during Tuesday's practice.

A player who hasn't scored all season now joins a team that hasn't thrown a TD pass since the calendar turned to December.
