The Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7) are preparing to face the Baltimore Ravens (7-7) in a Week 18 showdown for the AFC North and a spot in the playoffs. For quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the fan support at home will go a long way.

When asked whether it felt beneficial to have this win-or-go-home game at home, Rodgers urged fans to boost their volume for this game in particular.

"Yeah it's beneficial for sure," Rodgers said. "Because, you know, we need our crowd to be as loud as possible on Sunday, it's a night game and it's the only game on TV. It's a special feeling to be able to play on that Sunday night slot for all-or-nothing, and it's a lot easier when you're playing at home."

The game will take place at 8:20 pm at Acrisure Stadium, so if you happen to find yourself there at that time, be sure to make yourself known.

Rodgers' Future With the Steelers

In a recent interview, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin made a personal commitment to making sure the game is not Rodgers' final NFL game.

"I don't know that I've taken time to ponder that," Tomlin said, via the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "I'm just committed to making sure that it's not."

"He's certainly been an awesome contributor to our efforts, not only from a talent perspective and an experience perspective, but just his professionalism, his relationship with the game, his love for his teammates, and his willingness to help them grow and get better and gain a better understanding each and every day has been cool to be part of."

Rodgers, 42, is in his first season with the Steelers, and it is unclear how much time he has left with the NFL. Rodgers played with the Green Bay Packers from 2005-2022 before being traded to the New York Jets, where he spent just two seasons (one limited severely by an Achilles injury) before being traded to the Steelers.

Steelers vs. Ravens, for All the Marbles

The Steelers have a 41% chance of making the playoffs according to The Athletic's Playoff Simulator, against the Ravens' 59% chance. The Ravens are at a crossroads with their own quarterback, Lamar Jackson, as the season draws to a close for one of the teams.

Jackson is returning to practice this week ahead of the matchup, which may be bad news for the Steelers. In a Ravens season already limited by Jackson's injuries, he is now coming off of a lower back contusion suffered against the New England Patriots in Week 16.

While Rodgers may be facing the end of his career, Jackson may be facing a potential trade this offseason. With rumors swirling before the game even begins, both teams have a lot to lose, and Rodgers is likely to get the loud stadium atmosphere he's craving.
