Look: Juan Soto Agrees to Record Deal With Mets, Here's What It Means for Reds

In this story:
CINCINNATI — The New York Mets are signing Juan Soto to a 15-year, $765 million contract according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.
It's the largest deal in professional sports history. And it certainly impacts the Reds.
On the surface, it brings Soto to the National League and gives the Mets an even better chance of winning the pennant.
It also means the Reds and other teams hoping to land an outfielder in free agency could get their chance in the coming days.
Will Teoscar Hernandez be a consolation prize for the Yankees now that they lost out on Soto?
Will the Dodgers make a push to re-sign him now that they know Soto is coming to the west coast?
Plenty of questions remain, but the Reds on the hunt for a veteran outfielder. The Soto deal should speed that process up, especially with winter meetings starting on Monday.
