Chiefs Defender Nick Bolton Considered ‘Perfect Fit’ for Bengals in Free Agency

The Bengals need help at this position.

CINCINNATI — USA Today's Jacob Camenker thinks Cincinnati should poach a linebacker from its top conference rival. Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton is his perfect free-agent fit for Cincinnati.

"Here's another move where an AFC contender gets better at the expense of the Chiefs," Camenker wrote. "Bolton has been a productive, three-down linebacker for Kansas City, eclipsing 100 tackles in three of his four seasons and logging career-best marks in sacks (3) and pass defenses (6) in 2024. The Bengals need a three-down linebacker to replace Germaine Pratt, who requested a trade, and soon-to-be 25-year-old Bolton would be a core building block in Al Golden's defense."

Spotrac projects Bolton to make $12.3 million per season on his next deal entering the prime of his career. He has appeared in 57 career games.
