Browns DT Jordan Elliott’s Redone Deal all but Guarantees Roster Spot

Jordan Elliott has likely one last chance to show the Cleveland Browns he belongs.

Cleveland Browns have reworked the deal of a second player on the team in defensive tackle Jordan Elliott. Elliott is going from nothing guaranteed in 2023 to $1.5 million guaranteed. This move likely solidified his spot with the Browns in 2023 as they would have to pay him either way now.

Like tight end Harrison Bryant who has his deal reworked yesterday, Elliott has more incentives to play for now. Elliott could reach up to $4 million on the deal if he hits incentives, which was first reported by Brad Stainbrook of theOBR.

With a signing bonus of $490,000 and a minimum base salary of $1,010,000, Elliott has $1.5 no matter what happens to him this season.

Elliott was a full-time starter in 2017 for the first time in his career where he started all 17 games. During that time, Elliott posted two sacks and 36 tackles. Elliott will have a chance to play alongside an improved unit in the middle that includes Dalvin Tomlinson and Siaki Ika.

Following the 2023 season, Elliott is set to be a free agent. The Browns have given him an incentive base deal that could propel him to put a better product out on the field this coming season.
