Just one year after joining the FIU Panthers via the transfer portal, tight end Christian Pedersen is exiting the portal again, this time committing to Morehead State.

Coming out of high school, Pedersen held multiple Power Five offers, and joined the Louisville Cardinals. He would only stay there for one season before joining the FIU Panthers.

Pedersen stayed for the entirety of the 2023 season, but did not see any reps on offense, but played in six games on special teams.

The 6'4", 240-pound tight end held offers from Group of Five schools, but decided to go the FCS route and join a Morehead State squad who finished the 2023 season 4-7 - an improvement compared to their 2-9 season in 2022.

At Morehead State, Pedersen now joins a tight end group that is led by Harrison Cohen who hauled in 14 receptions for 186 yards and one touchdown through 11 games. One strong camp for Pedersen could put him in the running for as many reps, if not more than Cohen.

The Morehead State Eagles' first game of the 2024 season will be against Division II's  Union (KY) Bulldogs. That will take place on August 31st with time and broadcast information yet to be decided.
