Cincinnati Reds Top Prospect Has Huge Game for Triple-A Louisville

Stewart is knocking on the door of the Cincinnati Reds.

Cincinnati Reds third-ranked prospect Sal Stewart had a huge game for the Louisville Bats tonight. The 21-year-old third baseman hit two home runs, a double a single and had four RBIs in the Bats' 11-9 loss against the Iowa Cubs.

In 80 games in Double-A Chattanooga, Stewart slashed .306/.377/.594 with 10 home runs. He was named to the Futures Game in July and earned a promotion to Triple-A on July 18th.

In eight games in Louisville, he is slashing .281/.281/.594 in 19 at-bats. If Sal can keep this rate of production up, there is a chance we see him in a Reds uniform before the season is done.
