CINCINNATI — The Reds are close to sweeping the Dodgers. Cincinnati has a 4-0 lead over Los Angeles in the sixth inning. They entered a rain delay in the top of the sixth and the tarp is on the field at Great American Ballpark.
The Reds scored all four of their runs in the third when Jonathan India hit a two-run RBI single with the bases loaded. Nick Martini also hit a two-run single.
The Dodgers only have two hits on the day. The duo of Brent Suter and Nick Martinez has combined to pitch five scoreless innings and they haven't issued a walk. Martinez has pitched 4 1/3 of those innings.
If the Reds win, they'll improve to 23-30 on the season. It'll be their first three-game winning streak since they swept the Angels on April 19-21.
Play doesn't need to resume for this to become an official game.
UPDATE: The game is schedule to resume at 2:45 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
