Reds' Spencer Steer Saw "Marked Improvement" in Shoulder on Saturday

This is encouraging.

Spencer Steer was re-examined on Saturday and saw "marked improvement," according toMark Sheldon of MLB.com.

Sheldon said that Reds' manager Terry Francona said that it's too early to tell if Steer will be ready for the season opener.

The 27-year-old slashed .225/.319/.402 with 20 home runs and 25 stolen bases in 2024.

If Steer misses the start of the season, expect Austin Hays to get the majority of the work out in left field.
