Ja'Marr Chase Dives Into 'Workaholic' Mentality Following Hot, Humid Training Camp Practice

In this story:
CINCINNATI — Ja'Marr Chase loves the work.
He drove that "workaholic" mentality home to the media in his press conference on Thursday. Cincinnati went through a hot, humid second day of training camp practice that produced a smiling Ja'Marr Chase at the podium.
He is getting a full workload at training camp after missing most of the practices during a contract hold in last year.
"I love to work. I'm a workaholic. I love working. Joe asked me today, 'Am I tired? I said, 'Call the play while I'm tired,' because at the end of the day, when it's the fourth quarter and I'm tired, they're not gonna ask me, 'am I tired?'" Chase drove home. "It's just all about how hard you could push yourself. And then today, especially days like this, so as long as you get 1% better each day, that's how you're gonna improve."
Chase has improved each year of his NFL career and could always improve more despite being the first NFL receiver to post 1,700 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns in one season last campaign.
The superstar is getting back to normal work this time of year and adjusting to an abnormal schedule.
Chase loves the morning practices just like his quarterback, Joe Burrow.
"I love it. I love that I get to eat after this," Chase declared. "And I got, like, damn near two hours [before the next session of work]. I'm not on special teams. That's all I can say. ... In the afternoons around 3-4 p.m. I get another energy burst and I'm back at it, so I think it's good for us."
