CINCINNATI — Bengals legend Anthony Muñoz caught up with Steve Doerschuk following a Pro Football Hall of Fame event recently

Muñoz had plenty of glowing comments for Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow after Burrow wrapped his best NFL campaign over the past few months.

“The guy is just amazing, including physically," Munoz said to the Canton Repository reporter. "But as I tell my grandkids, watch Joe, not how he throws the ball or how he runs the offense, but watch how he handles adversity and success during the game. He might throw a pick-six and come back and lead them to a touchdown.

"I mean, watch those traits. Players notice. You get a 10-year veteran lineman who is checking out free agency and has dinner with him and the next morning says, 'I’ve got to come play for this guy.’ To me that speaks volumes. In my humble opinion, he’s one of the top two or three quarterbacks in the league. He’s a guy I would love to block for, love to play with. He’s the total package. He’s just so much fun to watch.”

Burrow has shown all the tools of a championship quarterback. Now, Cincinnati has to hold up its end of the bargain and surround him with a team he doesn't have to completely carry each week.

Solving the issues in both trenches would be a good start.
