CINCINNATI — The NFL is hoping to improve the Pro Bowl, but may consider eliminating it if they can't make the annual All-Star game more watchable.
Former Bengals star Chad Johnson believes current Pro Bowlers should go against past stars on the gridiron.
"Have the current pro bowlers play against the past era of pro bowlers, like an old school vs new school," Johnson tweeted. "Don’t even need pads, can be flag formatted, would break the viewing ratings for a Pro Bowl easily."
The idea of Michael Vick, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees playing quarterback for a flag football team that includes Johnson, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss and other legends would be quite fun.
Would Johnson try to cover guys like Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson? Would Moss get the best of Jalen Ramsey?
It might not be perfect, but it is a fun idea. It would be more entertaining than the current Pro Bowl.
