CINCINNATI — Joe Burrow helped the Bengals reach Super Bowl LVI last season despite undergoing knee reconstruction surgery in 2020.
The 25-year-old wore a brace to protect his left knee for the entire 2021 campaign. He didn't have one on when the team returned to practice on Tuesday.
"I don't really like wearing that thing," Burrow said. "It's good to have it off."
Burrow completed 70.4% of his passes for 4,611 yards and 34 touchdowns last season. Despite the success, he's hoping to make the brace a think of the past.
"I don't anticipate wearing it," Burrow said. "But maybe get to game day and I might feel a little more comfortable having it on."
