Pittsburgh Steelers' Pursuit of Aaron Rodgers Appears Serious With Free Agency Starting

CINCINNATI — The Bengals may have to deal with Aaron Rodgers at least twice this season.
The future Hall of Fame quarterback "is close" to an agreement with the Pittsburgh Steelers according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
He later deleted the tweet, but there's been plenty of discussion about Rodgers possibly landing in Pittsburgh.
"Rodgers and the Steelers are expected to talk and explore a union," Adam Schefter tweeted on Monday. "The idea of Rodgers playing for Mike Tomlin is in play."
The Steelers traded for DK Metcalf on Sunday. Adding a proven veteran quarterback that can get both Metcalf and George Pickens the ball would make sense.
Rodgers going to Pittsburgh would completely shift the AFC North. With Myles Garrett signing a long-term deal with Cleveland and Pittsburgh tweaking their offense, the AFC North could easily be the NFL's top division again in 2025.
Both Schefter and Dulac also noted that the Steelers are talking to Justin Fields and Russell Wilson.
