RECRUITING: 2025 3-Star Edge Rusher Commits To Troy Trojans

As the defending Sun Belt champions prepare to begin a new era, the Troy Trojans got a good piece of recruiting news over the weekend.

6'4" 200-pound defensive end Uchenyo Ojata of Carmel, Indiana announced his commitment to play football at Troy on Saturday. Ojata is a 2025 recruit rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports.

Per 247Sports, Ojata is the third verbal commit of the 2025 class for Gerad Parker's squad. All three are three-star recruits, including Kentucky quarterback Jack James and Alabama safety Antonious Steele.

Ojata also had scholarship offers from Akron, Cal, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Liberty, Marshall, Miami (OH), Nebraska, Toledo, West Virginia, and Western Michigan. Per his MaxPreps page, he had 26 tackles this past season with two sacks as a junior for Carmel High School. He was listed as the #25 recruit in Indiana, listed by 247Sports composite score.

Ojata's first opportunity to sign his national letter of intent will be this December.
