As the Georgia State Panthers prepare for their first season under Dell McGee, they'll add more depth in the secondary.

Former University of Connecticut corner Mumu Bin-Wahad announced his commitment to Georgia State on Thursday via X. Bin-Wahad, an Atlanta native and Grayson High School product, has three years of eligibility remaining.

In 2023, Bin-Wahad played in all twelve games for UConn, racking up 34 total tackles. He also had a sack and four tackles for loss. In the Huskies' season finale victory over UMass, Bin-Wahad had a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown. He entered the portal back in November.

Prior to UConn, Bin-Wahad spent the 2022 season with West Virginia where he appeared in just four games and was eligible for a redshirt year. He posted three tackles as a Mountaineer.

The spring transfer portal window officially opens on Tuesday, April 16.
