TRANSFER PORTAL: Tulane Lands Akron OT Ronan Chambers

The Tulane Green Wave aren't quite done adding to their roster for the 2024 season. Former Akron offensive tackle Ronan Chambers, currently in the transfer portal, announced his commitment to the Green Wave via X on Monday morning.

Akron had Chambers listed at 6'6" and 290 pounds on their 2023 roster.

Chambers was mostly a rotational offensive lineman for Akron over the last four years, appearing in 37 games over the last four seasons. He was a three-time academic All-MAC selection with the Zips. He prepped at St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio, where he was a three-star recruit, per 247Sports.

Chambers will have one year of eligibility remaining. The spring transfer portal window opens on Tuesday, April 16.

Tulane enter their first season under the direction of new head coach Jon Sumrall. Their season begins on August 29 when they host FCS Southeastern Louisiana.
