Injury Update: Pair of Cincinnati Reds Pitchers Take Important Step in Rehab Process

In this story:
The Cincinnati Reds sent starting pitcher Rhett Lowder to High-A Dayton and sent relief pitcher Ian Giabut to Triple-A Louisville on a rehab assignment.
Lowder pitched last week for the ACL Reds. The 23-year-old gave up two runs on four hits over three innings on Tuesday. He did not walk a batter and struck out five.
Gibaut is currently on the injured list with right shoulder impingement . The right-hander has a 5.40 ERA in 12 games for the Reds this season.
