CINCINNATI — The Reds beat the Cubs 5-4 on Friday afternoon at Wrigley Field. Elly De La Cruz's perfect throw to home plate is a big reason why Cincinnati won their fifth game in seven tries.

The 22-year-old threw a strike to Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson to save a run in the ninth and secure the win. Jacob Hurtubise set it up with a perfect throw to De La Cruz from the outfield.
