In this story:

Jeimer Candelario has been on the injured list since April 30 with a lumbar spine strain. The Reds announced on Thursday that they transferred Candelario's rehab assignment to Triple-A Louisville.

The veteran played in two games with the ACL Reds and went 3-6 with two doubles and two walks.

Candelario was in the Bats' lineup, batting second, and playing first base on Thursday.

He's hitting just .113 with four extra-base hits in 22 games with Cincinnati this season.

The Reds don't have much infield depth at the moment so they'll welcome Candelario back with open arms when he is healthy.
