Small Market? Odell Beckham Jr. Reveals He's Been Offered Small Contract
It looks like a former Cleveland Browns wide receiver is not happy with what he's been offered on the open market. Odell Beckham Jr. took to Twitter to let everyone know that $4 million a year won't get it done.
"I’m just so confused where the quote is from me tht said I want 20…..😭🙄all I’m sayin is 4 AINT enough,” Beckham tweeted.
Recently, Beckham worked out for over 10 teams that have interest including the Cleveland Browns. Since then, it seems like any contract talks with teams around the league have not went well. Beckham shot down the narrative that he wanted $20 million, but hinted that the $4 million dollar per year contract(s) will not meet what he wants.
Beckham is once again recovered from a significant knee injury. Though he is a shell of his former self, he did look good the last time he was on the field in the Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl win. OBJ caught a touchdown pass and had a couple of grabs in that game before he suffered the torn acl in 2021.
There's no reason to expect the Browns to sign Beckham, they were likely just doing due diligence. At this time it looks like he's overpriced his market and is now stuck with smaller offers.
