Top Dallas Cowboys fantasy football must-starts in Week 7 vs. Commanders

The Dallas Cowboys are off to a disappointing 2-3-1 start to the season.

But if there is one positive thing to take away from their efforts, it is that their offense has been among - if not the best - in the NFL so far through six weeks.

Now heading into Week 7, the Cowboys have another chance to put up a stellar offensive performance against a Washington Commanders team that ranks 25th in the NFL in total defense.

And as a result, a few Cowboys could be in line for big days on the fantasy football things as well.

So with that in mind lets take a look at which Dallas Cowboys are must-start fantasy options in Week 7 of the NFL.

Javonte Williams

When the Cowboys' offense has been hitting on all cylinders in the running game this season, it has been because Javonte Williams has been at his best. In their two worst offensive performances this season against the Panthers and the Bears, Williams has largely been held in check, rushing for a combined 105 yards on 23 carries with no scores. Both games resulted in a loss for Dallas. When Williams is getting things going on the ground, the offense is much more efficient and difficult to defend.

Fortunately, he is set to face a Commanders defense that ranks 20th in the NFL against the run, and 21st in production to running backs in fantasy football. He could have another nice day.

George Pickens

George Pickens has been a revelation for Dallas since the injury to CeeDee Lamb, ranking fifth among all receivers in fantasy football. He has had at least nine targets per game in four of the last five weeks and 11 targets in two of the last three weeks. He also has at least one touchdown in each of the last five games. When targeted double-digit times, like he was against Green Bay and Carolina, he has exploded for 134 yards and two touchdowns and 168 yards and one touchdown, respectively.

Even if Lamb returns, Pickens should continue to thrive.

Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott is having an MVP-level year. If his defense could help him out and get some stops, he could have a legit shot at it, too.

So far through six games, Prescott ranks as the No. 3 QB in fantasy football behind only Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. In his last three games, he has thrown for 817 yards and 10 touchdowns, and rushed for another. He is now set to face a defense that gives up an average of 235.5 yards per game through the air, and ranks in the bottom third of the league against the pass.
