Injury Update: Latest on Reds Starting Pitcher Chase Burns

In this story:
Cincinnati Reds rookie starting pitcher Chase Burns has been on the injured list since the middle of August with a right flexor strain.
During Saturday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals, Jim Day provided an update on the young right-hander.
"Chase Burns threw a bullpen today," Day said. "It was an up-down bullpen, a big step. He threw 30 pitches. 15, sat and rested. 15. He threw all of his pitches. I talked to him afterwards and he said he felt great. Next step is that he will be facing live hitters, which is tentatively on Tuesday."
There is a chance he will need to face live hitters more than one before the Reds decide next steps.
Burns has a 5.24 ERA in eight starts with 57 strikeouts in 34 1/3 innings this season with Cincinnati.
Regardless of when Burns is back this season, he is obviously a huge part of the future.
