Spencer Steer hit three home runs on Friday night, becoming the first Cincinnati Red to hit three home runs in a game since Jesse Winker in 2021.

In the fifth inning of Friday's game against the San Diego Padres, Reds infielder/outfielder Spencer Steer hit his third home run of the game off of Yuki Matsui to give the Reds an 8-0 lead.

"Three home runs," Reds TV announcer John Sadak said. "Back-to-back-to-back. The first Reds to launch three in a game in four years."

Steer now has nine home runs on the season.
