Bengals Acquire Veteran Cornerback Tre Flowers on Waivers From Seahawks
CINCINNATI — The Bengals acquired cornerback Tre Flowers on waivers Thursday. The 26-year-old waived by the Seahawks earlier this week.
Flowers has appeared in 47 career games, making 40 starts in four seasons with Seattle. He has 202 tackles, two sacks and three interceptions over that span.
The Seahawks picked Flowers in the fifth-round (146th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Cincinnati needed to bolster its' cornerback depth after placing Trae Waynes on injured reserve earlier this week.
Flowers will likely compete with Eli Apple and Darius Phillips for playing time on defense. He has tremendous size for a cornerback at 6-3, 203 pounds.
