CINCINNATI — Former Bengals interior offensive lineman Max Scharping has agreed to a one-year deal with the Eagles. Philadelphia announced the news on Monday afternoon.

Scharping spent the past two seasons in Cincinnati, appearing in 31 regular season games. He served as the Bengals' backup center last year.

Without Scharping on the roster, look for seventh round rookie Matt Lee to battle Trey Hill for the backup center job. The Bengals play the Eagles on Oct. 27 at 4:25 p.m. ET at Paycor Stadium.
