Report: Star Defensive Tackle Calais Campbell Signing With Arizona Cardinals

Cincinnati is not flush with defensive tackles right now.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals won't be adding Calais Campbells' consistent services in free agency. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Campbell is signing a one-year, up to $7.5 million deal with his former team, the Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals drafted him in 2008 and saw him wreck offenses until 2016. Campbell has been one of the best defensive lineman in the NFL over the last two decades and is entering his 18th NFL season. 

The 38-year-old ageless wonder has posted four consecutive seasons with 76-plus PFF grades, including an 82.3 mark in 2024 on 616 snaps.

Cincinnati has four defensive tackles on the roster as of this writing: T.J. Slaton, B.J. Hill, McKinnley Jackson, and Kris Jenkins.
