After spending three years at FIU, quarterback Grayson James entered the transfer portal and has committed to Boston College, officially moving to the Power Five Level.

In his time with the Panthers, James made 20 appearances and 10 starts and ended with 2,349 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and completed 247 of 422 passes.

James' 6'3", 235 pound frame is certainly something that stood out. Along with a strong arm and good accuracy, he can extend plays with his feet as he ended the 2022 season with 223 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

In 2023, the Eagles ended the season with a 7-6 record which included a win against SMU in the Fenway bowl.

James will have competition for the starting quarterback job in 2024 once he enters camp. Eagles starter Thomas Castellanos threw for 2,248 yards, 15 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. The sophomore quarterback at the time also ran for 1,113 yards and 13 rushing touchdowns.

Castellanos became the first quarterback for Boston College to throw for over 2,000 yards and rush for over 1,000 yards in a single-season.

James becomes the most recent Panther from the 2023 roster to announce his commitment to a new school and he joins Kris Mitchell, Phillip Houston and Jordan Guerad as the other three Panthers to commit to a Power Five school.
