Watch: Cincinnati Reds Manager Terry Francona and Chase Petty Discuss 9-1 Loss to St. Louis Cardinals

In this story:
The Cincinnati Reds fell 9-1 in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Chase Petty made his Major League debut, but really struggled, allowing nine runs on seven hits over 2 1/3 innings.
"You have to execute pitches with two strikes," Petty said postgame. "It was a tough one. I know I am better than how I performed tonight. I just have to execute better with two strikes. That's where I struggled tonight. These guys are big leaguers. They're going to hit the mistakes.
Terry Francona thinks highly of Petty and knows he will learn from tonight's performance.
"He felt so bad when he was coming off the mound," Francona said postgame. He couldn't get his fastball where he wanted and paid heavily for it. Like I said before the game, his career is not going to be defined by tonight."
