Jim Day Provides Injury Update on Cincinnati Reds Outfielder Austin Hays

In this story:
Cincinnati Reds outfielder Austin Hays left Saturday night's game against the Chicago Cubs with back spasms.
During Tuesday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Jim Day provided an update on Hays.
"Austin Hays is still dealing with back spasms," Day said. "Not in the starting lineup obviously, but did work out with the training staff before the game. There is no official report on how that went, but it is possible that he is not available to hit tonight. It is a day-to-day situation."
The 30-year-old is slashing .266/.316/.454 with 36 extra-base hits this season for the Reds. He signed a one-year deal with Cincinnati in the offseason.
Hays has 15 home runs on the season and the Reds miss his power when he is not in the lineup.
It doesn't sound like Hays will be back in the lineup tomorrow either.
