CINCINNATI — Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson suffered a neck injury in Sunday's game with the Panthers and won't return.

He went down in the fourth quarter and spent a few minutes on the field before walking off under his own power.

Hendrickson is the Bengals' best defensive player. Hopefully it isn't a long-term injury.
