'Guys Are Going to Get Paid That Need to be Paid' - Joe Burrow Remains Bullish on Bengals Chances of Keeping Stars

CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow went on a media tour on Thursday morning in New Orleans ahead of Super Bowl LIX.
The 28-year-old appeared on ESPN's First Take and didn't flinch when asked about the Bengals needing to sign Ja'Marr Chase, Trey Hendrickson and Tee Higgins to long-term contracts.
"We have great players that have done great things and deserve to be paid," Burrow said. "They're going to be paid what they're worth, whether we do it or somebody else. I hope we do it. We've had the discussions that the guys are going to get paid that need to get paid."
The Bengals do have the cap space and the flexibility to retain their stars and add to the roster. Burrow has clearly done his homework. He even mentioned the NFL's new TV deal that will impact the salary cap.
"The cap is going up each year. We just got a new TV deal so the cap is going to continue to go up," Burrow said with a smile.
This isn't the first time and it won't be the last time Burrow pushes for Higgins, Hendrickson and Chase to get paid. All eyes are on the Bengals front office.
