Cincinnati Bengals Signing Offensive Lineman Cody Ford to Two-Year Contract Extension

In this story:
CINCINNATI — The Bengals are signing Cody Ford to a two-year contract extension according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
Ford, 28, appeared in 16 games last season, making nine starts.
This is the second contract extension the Bengals have completed over the past two days. They agreed to a three-year, $25.5 million deal with tight end Mike Gesicki on Saturday.
Now they get a two-year done with Ford, who was a key piece of their offensive line room last season.
"He's got a composure about himself," Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said when asked about Ford in October. "He's a veteran, he's played a lot of games in this league so it's not too big for him. He goes in there and does his job and it's good to know we can count on him."

Due to injuries, Ford was forced to play left guard, left tackle and right tackle at different points of the season. The Bengals valued his versatility and got a deal done with him before the negotiating window opened on Monday.
