Report: Former Cincinnati Bengals Veteran Alex Cappa Signing With Las Vegas Raiders

The Bengals released Cappa earlier this week.

CINCINNATI — The Raiders are signing former Bengals guard Alex Cappa to a two-year contract.

The Bengals released Cappa this week to clear $8 million in cap space. Cappa is signing a two-year, $11 million contract according to his agency. That's good money for the veteran lineman.

Cappa made 50 starts for Cincinnati after signing with the Bengals in 2022. He helped them get to the AFC Championship Game that season and was considered their best offensive lineman that season.

He suffered an ankle injury prior to the playoffs in 2022 and never regained his form. The Raiders clearly wanted to bolster their offensive line ahead of free agency.

It's worth noting that Cappa was teammates with Raiders minority owner Tom Brady in Tampa Bay.
