CINCINNATI — After undergoing knee reconstruction surgery in December, Joe Burrow is on track to return for the start of the 2021 season

The 24-year-old is expected to not only lead the Bengals' offense this year, but also help guide Cincinnati back to the playoffs in the near future.

Those expectations may sound steep, but there are some around the NFL that think Burrow can take the Bengals organization to new heights.

Former Ravens, Cowboys and Giants defensive end Chris Canty believes Burrow is going to lead the AFC in passing yards and touchdowns.

"I got Joe Burrow throwing for more yards and more TDs than any other quarterback in the AFC," Canty said on ESPN's Get Up.

If anyone could recognize Burrow's potential, it's Canty. He played in the NFL for 11 seasons (2005-15). Canty helped the Giants beat Tom Brady and the Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.

Former New England great Rob Ninkovich also had high praise for Burrow earlier this week.
