Browns to Interview Seahawks Assistant Sean Desai on Monday for Coordinator Position

Cleveland Browns are scheduled to take another step toward filling the open defensive coordinator position on Monday.

Today, the Cleveland Browns are set to take another step in the process of filling their defensive coordinator vacancy. The team is scheduled to interview Seattle Seahawks associate head coach Sean Desai for the coordinator job, first reported by Mary Kay Cabot.

While it was already known the Browns would be interviewing Desai, the timing was complex due to the Seahawks being in the playoffs. During the wild card round the Seahawks fell to the San Francisco 49ers, making it much easier for Desai to meet with the Browns.

At this point the Browns have interviewed Jim Schwartz and Brian Flores for the job, then they still need to interview Desai and Dennard Wilson.

Desai is a qualified candidate to get a coordinator job very soon. He has a wide background due to the time he spent with the Chicago Bears, prior to that he coached in the college ranks for six years.

Cleveland looks to be wrapping up some interviews, a decision on the next defensive coordinator should not take long.
