Al-Hilal Propose €600m Kylian Mbappe Offer Including Potential Real Madrid Clause

Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal are reportedly keen to take Kylian Mbappe off Paris Saint-Germain's hands this summer.

Mbappe has been put up for sale by PSG after refusing to extend his current contract, which is due to expire in June 2024.

The 24-year-old has said that he wishes to stay in Paris until the end of the 2023/24 season, at which point he would be able to sign for another club on a free transfer.

It is widely believed that Mbappe intends to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.

But PSG do not want this to happen. The owners of the Ligue 1 champions are determined to sell Mbappe during the current transfer window to avoid losing him for nothing in 11 months.

With both Mbappe and Real seemingly happy to wait, PSG appear to be in a position of weakness.

But could Al-Hilal provide a solution that appeases everyone?

According to journalist Tancredi Palmeri, Al-Hilal would be willing to pay PSG a €200 million transfer fee to sign Mbappe this summer.

The reported proposal would see Al-Hilal hand Mbappe a two-year contract worth €200m per year, taking the overall cost of the deal to €600m.

However, Palmeri claims that Al-Hilal could also be prepared to insert a release clause in Mbappe's contract, allowing him to complete his dream move to Madrid after just one year.

Palmeri tweeted on Sunday: "BOOM! Al Hilal offered 200m€ per year to Mbappe for a 2 years contract, possibly with a release clause after 1 year solely reserved to Real Madrid.

"Also, they would bid 200m€ to PSG".

Al-Hilal are one of four Saudi Pro League clubs that are owned by the country's Public Investment Fund.

The other three Pro League teams owned by the PIF are Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr, champions Al-Ittihad, and newly-promoted Al-Ahli.

Al-Ahli are close to signing Riyad Mahrez, having already recruited Edouard Mendy and Roberto Firmino from England's Premier League this summer.
