Inter Miami Beaten 6-0 by Al Nassr Without Cristiano Ronaldo

Al Nassr humiliated Inter Miami on Thursday night by thrashing the Major League Soccer side 6-0 in Saudi Arabia.

The game had been billed as the 'Last Dance' between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, but neither superstar started.

Ronaldo did not feature at all due to a calf injury, while Messi stayed on the bench until the 83rd minute when he came on for a late cameo.

In Ronaldo's absence, Talisca netted a hat-trick for the Saudi Pro League outfit.

Otavio, Aymeric Laporte and Mohammed Maran also found the net.

Laporte's goal was out of this world. The former Manchester City defender beat Herons keeper Drake Callender with an outrageous free-kick from well inside his own half in the 12th minute.

Ronaldo reacted in the stands by jumping to his feet and throwing both of his arms in the air. Meanwhile, Messi looked visibly stunned.

The game, although it was part of the Riyadh Season Cup, was effectively a friendly. But it was played with plenty of edge and intensity.

Three players were shown yellow cards late in the first half following a mass confrontation in the center of the field.

Miami have now lost three pre-season games in a row. Thursday's defeat followed a 4-3 loss to Al-Hilal and a 1-0 reverse against FC Dallas.

Al Nassr - who are coming towards the end of a mid-season break - will now face Al-Hilal next Thursday.

That game will complete the 2024 Riyadh Season Cup. Al Nassr will win the exhibition tournament as long as they do not lose to Al-Hilal.

Ronaldo and Co will then be back in competitive action on February 14 when they travel to Al Feiha in the AFC Champions League.
