Reds Acquire Versatile Hitter Ryan Vilade Off Waivers, Designate Jacob Hurtubise For Assignment

CINCINNATI — The Reds acquired Ryan Vilade off of waivers from the Cardinals on Saturday.
The 26-year-old has experience at left field, right field and shortstop. He was optioned to Triple-A and the Reds designated Jacob Hurtubise for assignment.
Vilade has a .141/.200/.188 slash line, one home run and five RBI in 27 career big league games.
