Cincinnati Reds Manager Terry Francona Provides Update on Outfielder Austin Hays

Cincinnati Reds manager Terry Francona spoke to reporters ahead of Wednesday's doubleheader against the St. Louis Cardinals.
He provided an update on outfielder Austin Hays, who had an MRI earlier in the week. According to Charlie Goldsmith, Francona mentioned the MRI showed some results, but they're going to see how it heals and see if he can avoid going on the inured list.
Hamstrings usually aren't something to mess with. As much as it would hurt the offense, it might be better to go ahead and put Hays on the injured list now and avoid any sort of long-term damage.
