Zac Taylor Shares Injury Updates on Alex Cappa and La'el Collins
CINCINNATI — Bengals right guard Alex Cappa will take part in team drills this week during practice.
The veteran lineman has been practicing after undergoing surgery for a core muscle injury this offseason, but he hasn't worked in team sessions. That'll change this week according to head coach Zac Taylor.
"I think Alex in these next couple days will start to be phased in here," Taylor said. "You'll start to see him slowly be incorporated in some of the team stuff."
He didn't have as positive of an update on La'el Collins. The fourth-year head coach said they're still taking it "day-to-day" with their star right tackle.
Collins is dealing with a back issue, but is expecting to be 100% for the Bengals' season opener against the Steelers on Sept. 11.
