'Gotta Go After The Hardest Ones' - Shemar Stewart Excited to Pursue NFL's Best Quarterbacks

In this story:
CINCINNATI — Shemar Stewart hung up his Kansas City Chiefs fandom as soon as the Bengals selected him in the 2025 NFL Draft last month. A pursuit he didn't seem too passionate about in the first place.
The excitement did perk up for the Bengals top 2025 draft pick when it came to sacking Patrick Mahomes.
"Definitely him or Lamar [Jackson]," Stewart said about which quarterback he's most excited to go after as an NFL player. "The hardest people I gotta go after the hardest ones."
Stewart is still awaiting his first on-field action with the team amidst voluntary workouts, but has notably stayed engaged with the program. Much more so than he is with his old fandom.
"I ain't gonna lie to you, the NFL is kind of expensive," Stewart said about his former K.C. allegiance. "I had no Chiefs gear, so I was just a willing fan behind the TV screen. But I have thrown it out the window now."
An unsigned rookie contract is holding up his on-field start as he tries to picture taking out the NFL's best ahead of his rookie season. There are plenty of reps available over the next few months, especially as long as Trey Hendrickson stays away from the team.
